BIR extends deadline for the new Notice to the Public or NIRI



Bureau of Internal Revenue extends the deadline for replacement of "Ask for receipt" notice to the new BIR Notice to the Public or "Notice to Issue Receipt/Invoice (NIRI).


With respect to Revenue Regulation No. 10-2019 and Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 43-2022, all business taxpayers are required to publicly display the new notice at their place of business (NIRI).


In this connection, this Circular (RMC No. 75-2023) is issued to extend the deadline for securing new NIRIs to 30 September 2023. To secure NIRI, the taxpayer must complete the S1905 – Registration Renewal Sheet and enter/update the official email address provided. This e-mail address is provided by the Office as an additional means of delivering BIR orders, notices, letters, notices and other transactions to taxpayers.


Who does the Notice of New Receipt or Invoice Issuance (NIRI BIR) apply to?


- Head offices and branches of all new business registrants (NBR) registered with the tax office


- Online sellers, video bloggers, social media influencers and online content creators who earn their income from online platforms and advertising.
